User Permission Overrides Page

What This Page Does​

Shows a searchable permission matrix for one user where admins can compare role defaults, detailed overrides, and effective access before saving audited user-specific permission changes.

How To Use This Page​

  1. Open Staff, then choose the detailed permission override action for a user.
  2. Confirm the user, role, program scope, and active override count in the summary header.
  3. Search by friendly permission name, slug, category, source, or workflow phrase such as volunteer sensitive fields, approve hours, or send communications.
  4. Review Role Default plus Detailed Override equals Effective Result for each row.
  5. Set Override to Inherit, Allow, or Deny; the Effective column updates immediately but does not persist until Save changes.
  6. Provide a reason when granting sensitive volunteer data access, then save only the pending changes you intend to audit.
