What This Page Does
Helps program staff keep one selected program ready for volunteers by managing ownership, public visibility, operating model guidance, volunteer profile questions, Mission location defaults, and badges from one program-scoped workspace.
How To Use This Page
- Use the global program selector in the left navigation to choose the program scope.
- Open Programs Settings.
- Start on Governance to confirm the program has an owner, the right lifecycle status, appropriate GoodNearby visibility, and no volunteer-facing or staff-owned work waiting for attention.
- Switch to Program model to choose the operating model and focus areas that make AidOrbit's templates, workspace links, dashboard guidance, public-page guidance, and reports feel relevant to this program. Church / Faith-Based is available as a Program-scoped option for serving teams, safe-serving, ministry portals, care/outreach Missions, and recurring service-time coordination.
- Use preset launch links to open the existing Program dashboard, GoodNearby, or Reports workspace with the selected program context. Presets guide setup only; they do not publish portals, force requirements, or change sibling programs.
- For serving rotation coverage, volunteers can request a replacement for their own Mission shift registration. Staff should approve the replacement only after the covering volunteer has signed up through the normal Mission shift flow.
- Use Staff when you need to assign or update Program Leaders and Program Staff or provide a replacement before removing or demoting the last program owner.
- If changing Program status to Archived, review the archive confirmation prompt and confirm only when active operations are complete.
- Open GoodNearby Site > Program when you need to edit public-facing content, contact details, frequently asked questions, the program logo, preview state, or publishing state.
- Switch to Profile fields to keep useful organization-wide volunteer questions, hide questions that do not apply to this program, or add program-only text, textarea, dropdown, or date fields.
- Leave Hidden from volunteer enabled for internal staff-only values, or clear it only when volunteers should see the field. Use Volunteer can edit for self-service fields and Required before Mission signup only when a missing value should block registration.
- Switch to Location and tracking to decide whether active Mission location sharing is allowed for this program, how long detailed points are retained, and when staff should receive offline or battery alerts.
- Switch to Badges to download the latest Badge Print Station for Windows or manage badge templates for this program when policy allows.
- Save the relevant tab and confirm the selected program context remains correct.
