Settings Organization Page

What This Page Does​

Controls organization-level settings, a dedicated Background Checks tab for choosing and configuring one automation provider, volunteer profile address requirements, organization-wide custom profile fields, badge printing defaults, and the Badge Print Station app download.

How To Use This Page​

  1. Open Settings Organization.
  2. Use the page tabs to choose Organization, Background Checks, Volunteer Profiles, or Badge Printing.
  3. Open Background Checks, choose Checkr or Sterling from the Provider menu, then configure only the selected provider.
  4. For Checkr, enter the package code, choose the default work country and state/province, add the optional node custom ID, and store encrypted API and webhook secrets. Volunteers must still consent before AidOrbit creates a provider invitation.
  5. For Sterling, enter the package ID, region, Candidate Hub invite mode, encrypted OAuth client credentials, and webhook signing secret.
  6. Leave Processing mode set to Manual background checks when staff should continue recording background-check outcomes without provider automation.
  7. Add the displayed webhook URL in the selected provider so report status updates can flow back into AidOrbit.
  8. Enable Require volunteers to provide their full home address when reporting or emergency coordination requires complete address data.
  9. Add organization-wide volunteer profile fields when every program should collect the same text, textarea, dropdown, or date information; new fields are hidden from volunteers by default.
  10. Use Required before Mission signup only for fields that must block shift registration until answered, and turn off Volunteer can edit when staff should maintain a visible read-only value.
  11. Use Download AidOrbit Badge Print Station when you need the latest Windows workstation app package, and confirm the displayed version and last updated date before installing.
  12. Open Configure badge printing when queue, template, expiration, photo, or verification defaults need to change.
  13. Save changes and test the affected workflow.
