FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Are Volunteers charged?
No. Volunteers are free. AidOrbit plans are billed to the Organization based on the plan, Active Volunteer capacity, Programs, staff users, selected modules, and usage-based add-ons.
What counts as an Active Volunteer?
An Active Volunteer is a unique volunteer who registered for a Mission, checked in or out, submitted hours, completed a requirement, received targeted staff communication, or logged in during the billing year. Archived volunteers, inactive historical records, duplicates pending merge, and imported volunteers who never engage do not count toward the active Volunteer limit.
What happens if we go over our Active Volunteer limit?
AidOrbit gives Organizations room to grow. Admins receive usage notices before and after the limit is reached. Current Mission operations are not interrupted. If usage continues above the plan's grace range, the Organization can upgrade or add a Booster Pack.
Can we enable features for only one Program?
Yes. Some AidOrbit modules can be enabled Organization-wide or only for selected Programs. For example, a youth Program can use compliance tools while a food pantry Program uses check-in and scheduling tools.
What is the difference between Orbit and Galaxy?
Orbit is for growing Organizations managing multiple Programs, staff, Missions, approvals, and reports. Galaxy is for networks, large Organizations, universities, hospitals, disaster response teams, and enterprise operations that need higher capacity, advanced governance, integrations, or custom support.
Do you support custom enterprise agreements?
Yes. Galaxy Enterprise supports custom Active Volunteer capacity, Program capacity, staff users, SSO/SAML, advanced audit logs, API access, custom reporting, onboarding, procurement support, and SLA options.
